College Campus Ministry

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” —2 Cor. 5:20 (ESV)

Whether you are a campus ministry leader, student, or college pastor, we want to help you share the Gospel on your college campus. Follow the steps on the College Group Planning page below and plan to show a My Hope Film to reach as many students as possible. Consider sharing a film in a weekly large group meeting, a small group, a dorm gathering, or in any way to bring people together to hear the Gospel.

My Hope Stories from College Campuses

A Campus Director at a university in North Carolina showed Heaven to a group of college students and saw six individuals make decisions to receive Christ for the first time. The same Director showed Defining Moments to a group of students the previous year resulting in three first time decisions.

Evangelism 101 is a required course for all incoming freshmen at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. In 2013, the class showed the My Hope film “Defining Moments.” In a two-week period, 108 students accepted Christ, 42 rededicated their lives to Christ and more than 1,400 students committed to being trained to share their faith using the My Hope outreach. One student shared the film with his roommate, who also received Christ. Several hundred students were later trained to take calls in response to nationwide showings of “The Cross,” which aired on more than 500 channels across the United States and Canada.

A college student in North Carolina said “This is a God anointed video. So powerful. I hope to continue this outreach in future weeks and months. I believe the most effective way for me to do this is one individual, or household per evening. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this outreach.”

The Director of Missions for a local church shared the “Defining Moments” film with students at Lincoln University in Missouri. After watching the video, four students rededicated their lives to Christ, and others stayed late to talk about what they had heard. Several students want to show the video again to their friends.

The chaplain of a Florida high school varsity football team planned a My Hope event with the team on the evening before the biggest game of their season against their rivals on the other side of town. He hosted the meeting in a large open area in the locker room. He shared: “Not only were the players there but also all the coaches, trainers and some of the younger players as well. The room was full with over 80 folks. I have never seen 30 pizzas consumed so fast … Following a short introduction I shared the video. For 30 minutes you could have heard a pin drop. As the video ended the whole room stood up and cheered. It was amazing! I gave a short testimony and lead them all in the Sinner’s prayer. With tears in my eyes I asked them to come and shake my hand if they prayed the prayer for the first time. Twelve boys lined up immediately. Each one said to me that they prayed the prayer and meant it. The first two in line were the star quarterback and starting running back.”
